Islamic State Mass Yazidi Graves Unearthed In Iraq

Hundreds of Yazidis were executed by the terror group.

Human remains left in mass graves by self-proclaimed Islamic State militants are being unearthed by spring rains in Iraq.

In 2014 at least 500 members of the Yazidi Kurdish sect were “executed”, with some victims being buried alive.

Now the bones of Yazidis killed by the terror group, also known as Isis, have been discovered in Sinjar.

Spring rains unearth teeth.

International organisations said that a formal exhumation process of the sites will begin soon, but exact starting times remain unknown and details vary.

Human bones, hair and clothing are among the items that have been found.

The Yazidi were described as “devil worshippers” by members of Isis at the time and those killed were given the option to convert to Islam or die.

The victims included women and children.

The persecution of the ancient minority, who lived in northern Iraq, took place as hundreds of women were taken captive and imprisoned in Mosul.

According to an official in Baghdad at the time, the prisoners were used or sold as sex slaves.

They are forced to sleep in caves, faced with temperatures of over 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit) and have no food or water, let alone arms to defend themselves with.

Many Yazidis fled Sinjar with only the clothes on their back, leaving behind all of their belongings…

ISIS Creates Humanitarian Catastrophe

Yazidi claim to have survived 72 genocides – by the Ottoman Turkish rulers of what is now Iraq, by Saddam Hussein and now by Islamic militants, have reduced the number of Yazidi from millions to an estimated 700,000.

Feared, villified and slaughtered for centuries, it is in many ways remarkable such a strong community of Yazidis still exists at all.
But now, with the Islamic State’s determination to wipe them out, they perhaps face their greatest test of all.

ISIS barbarism and atrocities against women

ISIS’s systemic degradation, abuse, and humiliation of women. To the men of ISIS, women are an inferior race, to be enjoyed for sex and be discarded, or to be sold off as slaves.

From ISIS-captured territory in Syria, a line of women, covered from head to toe and tied to one another by a rope, as they were being led to a makeshift slave market to be sold off.

The younger girls are raped or married off to fighters. It’s based on temporary marriages, and once these fighters have had sex with these young girls, they just pass them on to other fighters.

A naked woman was found by Kurdish Peshmerga soldier at a village in Iraq that had been occupied by ISIS fighters, tied to a tree, who had been repeatedly raped by ISIS fighters. Another woman was discovered in a second village, similarly naked, tied down and repeatedly raped. The fighters, it appears, are “rewarded” by being allowed to have their way with captured women.

They put women and children under the ground. They were alive. They were crying and screaming for help. They were trying to keep their heads up to keep breathing. We had to run for our lives, there was nothing to be done for them!

ISIS atrocities against YAZIDI women

Those who do not convert face daily rape and a slow death
* They have been raped and sold off like property.
* Being raped by dozens of men over the course of a few hours.
* Mosul’s Badush prison, where the women are enslaved before trafficking them to third parties. Many of those held were teenagers.
* Women and girls as young as 14 are being offered the chance to convert. If they accept, they are sold as wives. If not, they are raped, tortured and eventually murdered.
* Babies are being born in the prison, and being immediately taken away from the mothers who have no idea of their fate.
